"We ALL miss you so much"
Words can not describe the hurt
our hearts feel.

This memorial website was created in
the memory of our loved one,
Toby Meister
who was born in
Kingsley, Iowa
on November 24, 1975
and passed away
on December 28, 2005 when an
improvised explosive device
detonated near his Hum-Vee
during combat patrol
operations in Afghanistan,
at the age of 30.
We will remember him forever.
To all our service men and women,
"THANK YOU"
http://www.flashdemo.net/gallery/wake/index.htm

There will come a day when your tears of sorrow will softly flow into tears of remembrance... and your heart will begin to heal itself... and grieving will be interrupted by episodes of joy... and you will hear the whisper of hope. There will come a day when you will welcome the tears of remembrance... as a sunshower of the soul... a turning of the tide... a promise of peace. There will come a day when you will... risk loving... go on believing... and treasure the tears of remembering.

Angel
I felt an angel's presence On the day you left my side: A gentle touch upon my cheek, To wipe the tears I cried.
I seemed to hear her whisper "Your loved one's in God's care, Just turn your eyes to Heaven And know he's resting there."
Her presence brought me comfort; It was as if she knew My faith in God was tested, On the day that I lost you.
The years have swiftly passed, Yet still I sense her near, And know, whatever comes my way, She'll help me through each fear.
God never leaves us helpless As along life's path we roam: An angel always comes our way To guide us gently home. © Marian Jones

When Tomorrow Starts Without Me
When tomorrow starts without me, And I'm not there to see; If the sun should rise and find your eyes All filled with tears for me; I wish so much you wouldn't cry The way you did today, While thinking of the many things, We didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me, As much as I love you, And each time that you think of me, I know you'll miss me too; But when tomorrow starts without me, Please try to understand, That an angel came and called my name, And took me by the hand, And said my place was ready, In heaven far above, And that I'd have to leave behind All those I dearly love.
But as I turned to walk away, A tear fell from my eye, For all my life, I'd always thought, I didn't want to die. I had so much to live for, So much yet to do, It seemed almost impossible, That I was leaving you. I thought of all the yesterdays, The good ones and the bad, I thought of all the love we shared, And all the fun we had.
If I could relive yesterday, Just even for awhile, I'd say goodbye and kiss you And maybe see you smile. But then I fully realized, That this could never be, For emptiness and memories, Would take the place of me. And when I thought of worldly things, I might miss come tomorrow, I thought of you, and when I did, My heart was filled with sorrow.
But when I walked through heaven's gates, I felt so much at home. When God looked down and smiled at me, From His great golden throne, He said "This is eternity, And all I've promised you." Today for life on earth is past, But here it starts anew. I promise no tomorrow, But today will always last, And since each day's the same day There's no longing for the past.
But you have been so faithful, So trusting and so true. Thought there were times you did some things, You knew you shouldn't do. But you have been forgiven And now at last you're free. So won't you take my hand And share my life with me?
So when tomorrow starts without me, Don't think we're far apart, For every time you think of me, I'm right here, in your heart.

Son
Son is a lovely word that always brings to mind memories of the happiest and very warmest kind!
Thoughts of you bring memories through each passing year, you've been the kind of son who's especially sweet and dear.
If you could read my heart then you would surely see with every day that passes by you mean still more to me. -Author Unknown

"The mention of my husband's
name May bring tears to my eyes But it never fails to bring
Music to my ears.
If you are really my friend,
Let me hear the beautiful music of
his name.
"Toby"
It soothes my broken heart
And sings to my soul."
UNITED WE STAND
United we stand, steadfast and tall, committed to peace, and freedom to all.
For times like these, that try all our souls, can renew our faith, in ourselves and our goals.
Let's open our hearts, as our proud banners wave, o'er the land of the free, and the home of the brave! --Author Unknown

"AN ANGEL FROM HEAVEN"
I know this angel from heaven His wings were just made today He was given roses As he passed along this way He was so very special God made a plan for him alone For he was a child of God Who was made His very own
For such a short time He was the father that I knew I could call him anytime He was there when I was blue Now he is in heaven Such a short time I knew his soul Even though I cannot touch him Or feel his loving face This angel's light is shining down In any given place
An angel sent from heaven A gift from God above For his words will follow me In all I will ever do A sweet reminder of my father Of his love so very true.

Please light a candle
for each of your Angels.

"Lord, hold our troops in your loving
hands. Protect them as they
protect us. Bless them and their
families for the selfless acts they
perform for us in our time of need. I
ask this in the name of Jesus, our
Lord and Savior.
Amen

Here’s to the men of the
red, white and blue;
Whose patriot’s hearts burned high ...
To the women who served
us on land and on sea,
Some even in the sky.
I’d like to say,
"Thank you,
that we’ll never know
The outcome if you had not gone,"
And to tell you,
"I’ll never forget your deed,
As long as my life lingers on."
For, I was a child, when the great war came,
And you just a dozen years more.
Some of you fought
on a distant beach.
Some died on a foreign shore.
I’d hate to forget those heroes of old,
From the 'War to end all wars'.
Korea, Vietnam, and Desert Storm
Proved that men fight evermore.
God, help us all when brave men say,
"Not today. Let’s just wait and see."
For, tyrants come in so many ways
And I’ve heard of complacency.
When integrity falls
in the dust by the way,
When conviction fails to command,
When there’s no one
to bugle or carry the flag,
What will become of our land?
So, here’s to the
heroes and heroines true!
Here’s to the brave and the free!
With my hand on my chest
as the flag passes by,
I remember what you did for me!!!

Daddy's Poem
His hair was combed up nicely, is dress shirt bottoned. Today was Daddy's Day at school, and he couldn't wait to go. But his mommy tried to tell him, that he probably should stay home. Why the kids might not understand, if he went to school alone But he was not afraid; he knew just what to say. What to tell his classmates of why he wasn't there today. But still his mother worried, for him to face this day alone. And that was why once again, she tried to keep her son home.
But the little boy went to school eager to tell them all. About a dad he never sees a dad who never calls. There were daddies along the wall in back, for everyone to meet. Children squirming impatiently, anxious in their seats. One by one the teacher called a student from the class To introduce their daddy, as seconds slowly passed. At last the teacher called his name, every child turned to stare. Each of them was searching, for a man who wasn't there. "Where's his daddy at?" he heard a boy call out. "He probably doesn't have one," another student dared to shout. And from somewhere near the back, he heard a daddy say, "Looks like another deadbeat dad, too busy to waste his day." The words did not offend him, as he smiled up at his Mom. And looked back at his teacher, who told him to go on. And with hands behind his back, slowly he began to speak. And out from the mouth of a child, came words incredibly unique. "My Daddy couldn't be here, because he lives so far away. But I know he wishes he could be, since this is such a special day. And though you cannot meet him, I wanted you to know. All about my daddy, and how much he loves me so. He loved to tell me stories he taught me to ride my bike. He surprised me with a rose, and taught me to fly a kite. We used to share fudge sundaes, and ice cream in a cone. And though you cannot see him. I'm not standing here alone. "Cause my daddy's always with me, even though we are apart I know because he told me, he'll forever be in my heart". With that, his little hand reached up, and lay across his chest. Feeling his own heartbeat, beneath his favorite shirt. And from somewhere here in the crowd of dads, his mother stood in tears. Proudly watching her son, who was wise beyond his years. For he stood up for the love of a man not in his life. Doing what was best for him, doing what was right. And when he dropped his hand back down, staring straight into the crowd. He finished with a voice so soft, but its message clear and loud. "I love my daddy very much, he's my shining star. And if he could, he'd be here, but heaven's just too far. You see he was a policeman and died just this past year When airplanes hit the towers and taught Americans to fear. But sometimes when I close my eyes, it's like he never went away." And then he closed his eyes, and saw him there that day. And to his mothers amazement, he witnessed with surprise. A room full of daddies and children, all starting to close their eyes. Who knows what they saw before them, who knows what they felt inside. Perhaps for merely a second, they saw him at his side. "I know you're with me Daddy," to the silence he called out. And what happened next made believers, of those once filled with doubt. Not one in that room could explain it, for each of their eyes had been closed. But there on the desk beside him, was a fragrant long-stemmed rose. And a child was blessed, if only for a moment, by the love of his shining star. And given the gift of believing, that heaven is never too far.
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Take the time...to live and love! Until eternity. God bless

"A TRUE AMERICAN HERO"
25Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; 26and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"

There is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Hwy.25 in rural Iowa. For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities on this rock, changing its character many times. A few months back, the rock received its latest paint job, and since then it has been left completely undisturbed. It's quite an impressive sight. Be sure to go to the Photo Album and check out the multiple photos (all angles) of the rock. I thought the flag was draped over the rock, but it's not. It's actually painted on the rock too. Great work Bubba!

UNFOLDING THE ROSEBUD
It is only a tiny rosebud, A flower of God's design; But I cannot unfold the petals With these clumsy hands of mine.
The secret of unfolding flowers Is not known to such as I. God opens this flower so sweetly, In my hands it will fade and die.
If I cannot unfold a rosebud, This flower of God's design, Then how can I think I have wisdom To unfold this life of mine?
So I'll trust in Him for His leading Each moment of every day. I will look to him for His guidance Each step of the pilgrim way.
The pathway that lies before me, Only my Heavenly Father knows. I'll trust Him to unfold the moments, Just as He unfolds the rose.
I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I am free. I'm following the path God has laid, you see. I took His hand when I heard Him call. I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joys, A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Oh yes, these things I, too, will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee. God wanted Me now; He set me free! -Author Unknown

Tobias Corbin Meister There are 19 letters in your name. Those 19 letters total to 90 There are 8 vowels and 11 consonants in your name.
What your first name means:Swedish Male God is good. Spanish Male From the Hebrew Tobiah 'Jah is good.'. Hebrew Male The Lord is good.
Your number is: 9
The characteristics of #9 are: Humanitarian, giving nature, selflessness, obligations, creative expression.
The expression or destiny for #9: The expression that you exhibit is represented bythe number 9. Your talents center in humanistic interests and approaches. You like to help others as you were intended to be the 'big brother or big sister' type. You operate best when you follow your feelings and sense of compassion, and allow yourself to be sensitive to the needs of others. You work well with people, and have the potential to inspire. This suggests that you could successfully teach or counsel. Creative ability, imagination and artistic talent (often latent) of the highest order are present in this expression. It's possible that you're not using or developing all of these capabilities at this time. Some of your talents may have been used at an earlier time in your life, and some may still be latent. Be aware of your capabilities, so that you can make use of them at appropriate times.
If you are able to achieve the potential of your natural expression in this life, you are capable of much human understanding and have a lot to give to others. Your personal ambitions are likely to be maintained in a very positive perspective, never losing sight of an interest in people, and a sympathetic, tolerant, broad-minded and compassionate point of view. You are quite idealistic, and disappointed at the lack of perfection in the world. You have a strong awareness of your own feeling as well as those of others. Friendships, affection, and love are extremely important.
Undeveloped or ignored, the negative side of the 9 expression can be very selfish and self-centered. If you do not actively involve yourself with work that benefits others, you may tend to express just the opposite characteristics. It is your role to be very involved with other people and their needs, but it may be difficult for you achieve this role. Aloofness, lack of involvement, and a lack of sensitivity mark the low road of this expression.
Your Soul Urge number is: 5
A Soul Urge number of 5 means: The 5 soul urge or motivation would like to follow a life of freedom, excitement, adventure and unexpected happening. The idea of travel and freedom to roam intrigues you. You are very much the adventurer at heart. Not particularly concerned about your future or about getting ahead, you can seem superficial and unmotivated.
In a positive sense, the energies of the number 5 make you very adaptable and versatile. You have a natural resourcefulness and enthusiasm that may mark you as a progressive with a good mind and active imagination. You seem to have a natural inclination to be a pace-setter. You are attracted to the unusual and the fast paced.
You may be overly restless and impatient at times. You may dislike the routine work that you are engaged in, and tend to jump from activity to activity, without ever finishing anything. You may have difficulty with responsibility. You don't want to be tied down to a relationship, and it may be hard to commit to one person.
Your Inner Dream number is: 4
An Inner Dream number of 4 means: You dream of being a very solid citizen that people can depend upon. You strive for organization and predictable order. You want to be recognized as a person with a plan and the discipline to make that plan work like clockwork. 24 November 1975
Your date of conception was on or about 3 March 1975 which was a Monday.
You were born on a Monday under the astrological sign Sagittarius.
Your Life path number is 3.
Numerology Index 3 (3, 12/3, 21,/3, 30/3) The Life Path 3 indicates that you entered this plane with a strong sense of creativity and with wonderful communication skills. Achievement for you most likely comes through engaging your ingenious expression. A truly gifted 3 possesses the most exceptional innovative skills, normally in the verbal realm, writing, speaking, acting, or similar endeavors. Here we are apt to find the entertainers of the world, bright, effervescent, sparkling people with very optimistic attitudes. The bright side of this path stresses harmony, beauty and pleasures; of sharing your inventive talents with the world. Capturing your capability in creative self-expression is the highest level of attainment for this life path. Life is generally lived to the fullest, often without much worry about tomorrow. You are not very good at handling money because of a general lack of concern about it. You spend it when you have it and don't when you don't.
The 3 loves connecting with people. The characteristics of the 3 are warmth and friendliness, a good conversationalist, social and open. A good talker both from the standpoint of being a delight to listen to, but even more importantly, one who has the ability to listen to others. Accordingly, the life path 3 produces individuals who are always a welcome addition to any social situation and know how to make others feel at home. The approach to life tends to be exceedingly positive. Your disposition is almost surely sunny and openhearted. A happy and often inspired person, you are constantly seeking and needing the stimuli of similar people.
There is a remote side to your 3 Life Path, as well. This comes as a surprise to the native and to those who think they are well acquainted. The 3 is actually a very sensitive soul. When hurt, you can easily retreat to a shell of morose silence for extended periods. Nonetheless, the 3 eventually copes with all of the many setbacks that occur in life and readily bounces back for more. It is usually easy for you to deal with problems because you can freely admit the existence of problems without letting them get you down for too long. Because of your own sensitivity to hurt, you have a caring disposition and seem to be very conscious of other people's feelings and emotions.
In romance, the 3 is a very ardent and loyal lover. Affairs that don't go well can leave scares that seem to linger. Emotional experiences of all sorts tend to deeply touch the 3 and the drama may take some time to play out. Regrettably, the giving disposition of the 3 often attracts demanding partners. As with most of life's issues for the 3 Life Path, balance in relationships is illusive.
Your big test with a 3 Life Path is controlling your highs and lows. You won't survive very well in any routine environment or when you are placed under dominating management. Slow thinking and overly contemplative people tend to frustrate you, and you don't function too well with this type whether you are working for, with, or under them. Your exuberant nature can take you far, especially if you are ever able to focus your energies and talents.
For the few living on the negative side of this Life Path, a 3 may be so delighted with the joy of living that the life becomes frivolous and superficial. You may scatter your abilities and express little sense of purpose. The 3 can be an enigma, for no apparent reason you may become moody and tend to retreat. Escapist tendencies are not uncommon with the 3 life path, and you find it very hard to settle into one place or one position. Guard against being critical of others, impatient, intolerant, or overly optimistic.

The moon's phase on the day you were born was waning gibbous. Something very cool that Xerox is doing...
If you go to this web site,
www.letssaythanks.com
you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier who is currently serving in Iraq .
You can't pick out who gets the card, but it will go to some member of the armed services.
How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!!
This is a great site. Please send a card. It is FREE and it only takes a second.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these? Whether you are for or against the war, our guys and gals over there need to know we believe in them... Please send to all your family and friends. Please feel comfortable enough to
leave a message in the
"Tributes & Condolences"
or
light a
"Memorial Candle".
If you cannot find the words
at this time,
your name will be
greatly appreciated.

"TOBY'S ANGEL"
| Angel Of November |
 |
~Come and meet November An angel so sublime Her joy a special treasure In evergreens she finds Watching oh so carefully Each special tree will be A compliment to nature Dressed as Christmas tree She touches every branch To give the tree new life An angel from the heavens She casts a special light Makes the limbs so supple Fragrance so divine This angel of the evergreens A gift for special time On Christmas she will enter Your heart will feel her love A most devoted treasure A heart of peace above Beauty she enshrines With each majestic tree Filled up with your memories A special heart you see November's sweetest gift of peace A tree of perfect art As snow falls down upon the earth It nourishes your heart.~

www.tmcnet.com [January 07, 2006] Smiles amid the tears: Family, friends, community remember Toby Meister
Jan. 7--JENKS -- As a former U.S. Army drill sergeant of the year, 1st Sgt. Tobias C. Meister knew how to give an order.
Pastor Eddie Stephens told more than 500 people who filled the First Baptist Church of Jenks on Friday about this ability. He recalled the two were eating lunch -- Meister was preparing to leave for Afghanistan -- and the subject was "if something happens."
"Toby, in a sense, gave me my orders to do what was necessary (for his funeral), and I begrudgingly agreed, thinking that to say no, he might order me to drop and give him 50" pushups, Stephens said.
The tale generated laughter among those in attendance at the 30-year-old soldier's funeral, which was the point of many of the pastor's remembrances.
"(Toby) told me to be humorous today, so I'm trying," Stephens said.
There were several opportunities to smile and laugh between the many tears shed for Meister during the service and later burial in the Veterans Field of Honor at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow.
